How It Works

1. Begin your journey by bringing your gnome to life. Give him a name and a design all his own. Maybe you name him first....maybe you design him first and his name will come later. Don't worry if you're not an artist. "Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep." (Scott Adams)

2. Read Gustav's story. Once, twice...over and over. Color the pages if you like, or print your own coloring pages of each illustration using the button below. Then...begin your own.

3. Plan your adventures and take your gnome along. Don't forget to take a picture to add to your story journal. Need ideas for simple adventures?

4. Write your stories. Together, talk about your adventure. Share your adventures in your journal. Don't forget to add pictures, souvenirs, etc.

5. This is the MOST IMPORTANT STEP. Each step of the journey, ENGAGE. Be there...all the way. Even 15 minutes of genuine connection can do unimaginable wonders for you, your child, your family and the world.
